Part-Time Administrative Assistant Opening Pay Range: $16.00 - $17.50hour Mueller Company (Mueller Co.), a division of Mueller Water Products and the nation's leading manufacturer of flow control devices for the water and gas distribution industries, is seeking candidates for a Part-Time Administrative Assistant opening at its Northeast Sales Region office in Westminster, Maryland. This 20 – 24 hour/week position will support the Mueller Co. Northeast Region Sales Manager. As described in detail below, primary duties will be to serve as the sole Administrative Assistant resource in this sales management office. Duties will include, but not be limited to, the following: • General administrative duties: typing, filing, transmitting faxes, ordering office supplies, proofreading, answering telephone, placing calls, etc. • Creating and editing presentations, charts, and operational data within Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) • Open, screen, and sort all mail. • Arrange for transportation, car rentals, motels, etc. and prepare travel reports. • Expense report administration (creating, reviewing, auditing, etc.) • Handle confidential information such as sales forecast, salaries, etc. • Carry out additional job responsibilities and duties as required. Required Qualifications: • High School Diploma • A minimum of three (3) years administrative assistant experience • Multi-line phone experience • Strong Microsoft Office skills – including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook (computer testing will be required to assess proficiency with these software packages) • 10-key experience • Must have strong social and interpersonal skills to interact with internal and external customers. • Ability to prioritize many different tasks at once. • Ability to work with limited on-site supervision. • Must be capable of handling special projects with little direction. Desired Qualifications: • Associate’s degree in Office Technology, Administration, or Business related discipline. • 5+ years administrative assistance experience • Microsoft Office Specialist Certification or comparable computer certification. • Certified Professional Secretary (CPS), Certified Administrative Professional (CAP), or similar professional designation. • Knowledge of UPS, FedEx, and DHL services for domestic and international shipping. • Previous administrative assistant experience in a sales environment Applicants not meeting the “Required Qualifications” above will not be considered for this position. The primary work schedule is estimated to be 20 – 24 hours per week. Additional hours may be required on an intermittent basis. (This position is non-exempt and eligible for overtime pay.) No relocation assistance will be offered for this position.
